Music
String Instruments
String instruments that equal rustic guitars and lyres are very common in most continents ( save for [ undiscovered lore ] ), and they're usually made to have soft and welcoming notes.
Birdsong
Songs made with whistles, chirps, trills, and other birdlike noises made through the syrinx.
Dance
Fan Dance
A festival dance where two or more Eláfkeria keep their wings close to the body but unfurl them to resemble a fan or parasol, and dance by skipping around in circles face-to-face with their partner(s) to lively music.
Partner switches tend to happen if more than two Eláfkeria are participating.

Ritual
Blooming Trials
A set of trials commonly fulfilled by Eláfkeria to prove to the Kósmos that they're worthy of nurturing new life. They're divided in three: Nourishing, Bonding, and Virtue. Once an Eláfkeri fulfills their trials, they're granted a Blooming Pin to commemorate the moment.
Síocháin
Festival held twice— once during Summer, and once during Winter— in which Kósmos dwellers celebrate physical, emotional, and spiritual growth, as well as tranquil times and serenity.
Timthriall
Festival held twice— once during Spring, and once during Autumn— in which Kósmos dwellers celebrate death, rebirth, and the cycle of life.
Seed PlantingDuring Autumn's Timthriall, friends and families set out to collect fallen seeds and plant them en masse on less forested areas. During Spring's Timthriall, these seeds' sprouts are welcomed into life during the festival with the Flower Dance. |
Statue CarvingDuring Autumn's Timthriall, friends and families carve statues out of wood or stone that symbolize the upcoming Winter. Once Spring's Timthriall arrives, they use these statues to feed the festival's bonfire, saying goodbye to the passing Winter. |
Flower DanceDuring Spring's Timthriall, creatures from neighboring villages and settlements will join around the largest patches of sprouts that were seeded during Autumn's Seed Planting, and do the Flower Dance: a gentle dance that consists of light skipping around the sprout patches as a welcome gift. It can oftentimes be accompanied by local songs, but rarely by any instruments. |
Bonfire SkippingDuring Spring's Timthriall, creatures from neighboring villages and settlements lit up grand bonfires with their Autumn Timthriall's statues to say goodbye to the passing winter, and skip with excitement around them to welcome the incoming summer. Those brave enough will also skip across the bonfires, which is seen as a call for good things in the summer. |
