Quilin
• Rarity - Rare •
A mutation that causes the fur to morph into scales, causing small to large scales to cover the body, much like quilins.

Coverage & Explanation
At minimum, it creates three (3) scales anywhere on the body, except for the primary and secondary feathers ( long feathers on wings and tail ).
At maximum, it covers up to roughly 75% of the body, except for the primary and secondary feathers.
This mutation may be asymmetrical.

Notes
- This mutation may not affect the skin, keratin, and/or eyes.
- This mutation is meant to grow scales from the body itself, not the fur; this means scales may not grow from hanging fur or feathers, it must grow at the base of the skin/muscle.
- This mutation may grow spikes on the scales, mimicking certain isopods and other armored animals. Spikes may not be larger than the horn.
- This mutation may grow flat against the skin or be rougher and show bumps, but may never grow vertically like individual cones ( not to be mistaken with the ability for scales to grow small spikes off their base ).
- If following keratin rules, scales may have colored rims that are natural colors or lighter/darker than the base.
